Blog 6: Posgraduate studies

Hi everyone, I hope that they fine. Today I'm going to talk about my postgraduate studies. Well,  at present I have someone elective focus on gender and representation in the mass media, but when I finish my career, I would like postgraduate course focus in this subject the gender and the sexism in mass media. I would like to compliment the knowledge about this topic. 

I think that journalism is very important to know identify sexism and discrimination in the news, movies and publicity. Besides I consider that as a future journalist is very important to recognize when a media discriminate in her news or other publication.

I would like to travel and study in other countries how for example in London, Spain or Argentina I am not sure to me yet. When I finish this specialization I would like to return to Chile and work in a media that has the perspective of gender. I  wouldn't like to study at a distance because I would like to know other people and how the media present the news.

For this, I  think that is very important that we read text and books written by women, because this way we understand and know other way of looking the history and the things in general, because generally we read and know the point of view of men.
